Melville Capital, a New York-based life settlement broker with an office in Los Angeles, said it’s started an advanced markets practice to focus on premium financing and other related services.

Amy Gavartin, director of advanced markets, will work with clients and their advisers to help them implement tax-efficient strategies for estate and business planning, the firm said in a statement.
